高森信男的其中一個研究重心在於當代藝術的跨文化研究，高森信男對於不同文化的觀眾如何看待當代藝術有很深的興趣。他透過實際的策展經驗以及長期的旅行、訪談工作逐漸建立起一套脈絡。高森信男企圖透過這套資源及概念來增加台灣當代藝術進行向內及向外的跨文化溝通。
One of the focal point of Nobuo Takamori’s research is the cross-culture research in contemporary art. Takamori have highly interesting about how the audience from different cultural background regards contemporary art. He built up a serious of contexts through the experience of curating practice, travel and journalist career. Takamori try to use these sources and concepts to increase the internal or external cross-culture communication of contemporary Taiwanese art.
當代藝術跨領域實驗 / Trans-Disciplinary Experiment in Contemporary Art
高森信男擁有媒體設計及視覺傳達的學習背景，他現在亦在大學教授設計。在高森信男成為獨立策展人之前，他也曾經嘗試過電影、音樂劇場、建築及視覺藝術等領域的創作。雖然這些嘗試無法成為高森信男的專業。但是這些經驗的累積卻讓他意識到跨領域的重要性，並且得以將之轉化為實際的策展行動。
Nobuo Takamori has the study background of media design and visual communication. He also teach design in university now. Before Takamori became an independent curator, he have been try to involve the field of film, music theater, architecture and visual art production. Although these attempts didn’t became the professions of Takamori. However, these experiences make him mention the importance of trans/inter-disciplinary practice. Takamori also try to transform it into actions of curation.

高森信男透過實際的策展行動來學習並且調整他的方法學。他亦嘗試可以從實際的策展行動中逐步的生產出理論。在高森信男的策展行動中，他努力的嘗試在現實的架構下進行各種實驗性質的策展計劃。
Nobuo Takamori learns and adjusts his methodology by real actions of curation. He also tries to develop the theory from the curating actions. In the curating actions of Takamori, he tries hard to explore every possibility of experimental curation projects under the structure of reality.
